I used spray foam and green insulation to insulate my truck. Helped a ton!

I had a 5000 BTU window air unit running in 90-95 degree during the day and I was perfectly cool. I was even parked in the sun.

The insulation makes a huge difference.

I also closed the wrap around curtain, and the middle partition curtain as well.

I would also idle the truck full blast AC for a while, let everything cool down.

Even the best plans get their problems,.....it happened when I was renovating houses also. I set a deadline and somewhere between now and the deadline,...problems occur that need to be taken care of,.....I just let things happen the way they happen, and try not to read into the future too much.
I learned a long time ago (around the time I was with my first girlfriend) that I have almost no control over how and when things happen,...and the best I can do is hope for the best. I'll always set a deadline, but on a project this big,..all I can do is take it a day at a time and go from there.
Whenever there are other people involved,...there is no way to plan ahead,..once I'm on the road and alone,...things should fall into place nicely.
I'll admit,..I'm in no real hurry to get out there,...I want to be OTR, but I have to wait for the planets to align,.......or it just won't work
One of these days I'll just be out there and then I can stop crying wolf.

Yes it is a Royal pain but when doing projects like this once u get your materials needed you make out a plan of attack and then go on ahead and start it.. In no time it will be all done..

I get $3.00 per mile freight just as long as I can do 2 loads in the time it takes someone else to do just one.

Yup, and somehow figure that 1000 miles at $1.50 per mile plus 1000 miles at $1.50 per mile equals 2000 miles at $3.00 per mile.

Are you kidding me?,.....I've got shippers calling daily with $2.50 and $3.00 per mile freight. They heard the Dog is haulin' now and they all want a piece of the action
I just tell them to hold that thought, and when I'm ready,.....I'll get to their dock.
