I know what a MC number is but what is a ICC MC ?? i have seen it on a few trucks but not all...some say MC and others ICC MC whats the difference ??

They are the same thing. MC means Motor Carrier and ICC means Interstate Carrier Commerce or something like that.I believe it is usually a six-digit number. Mine is anyway.

The ICC (Interstate Commerce Commision) was legislated out of existence. It is now defunct. Older carriers who operated under ICC authority just haven't bothered to remove the lettering.
