WHAT IS THE LEGAL WEIGH LIMIT ON REAR AXELS OF A SPREAD AXEL DROP DECK?

WITH TIRE SIZE 255/70R-22.5

SO IT WILL THE SAME AS A FLAT BED
EVENTHOUHG TIRE SIZE IS DIFFERENT.

THANKS FOR THE INPUT GMAN.

I ALLREADY HAVE A LOAN APROVED AND NEED AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN A FLATBED AND A STEP DECK.
I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN FLAT BED BUT NEVER HAUL A DROP DECK.

ANY IMPUT WILL BE APRECIATED.

Axle weights are the same regardless of the type of trailer. Keep in mind that if you run Canada, you may not be legal in some provinces with a 10'1" spread axle.

By the way, that is the same size tire as I wear on my step deck. What brand do you plan on buying?

What GMAN said.

I think you'll find if you take the tire weight rating off the sidewall and multiply by 8 tires on the 2 rear axles, the result exceeds 40,000 lbs. If for some reason your tires add up to less than 40,000 lbs, some DOT guy may have an issue (if he notices).

I load trucks for a living right now and a lot of guys are going to drop decks! One told me last night me has made more money this year with his drop deck! When I retire in 90 days I will buy a drop deck (with load levelers).

What advantages does a drop-deck hold over a regular flatbed ?
