I wouldn't be so quick there homey,we have seen Rev's end of year 1099 and pretty much backs up what he claims,he does have to haul household goods though

    $183,400 on 54,941 miles.

And my $15,000 trip is more like $16,000 now, due to it coming in overweight, and some extras being added on.

You posted your 1099 a few months ago. Which post was that? You listed about 50k as your income. I'm sure the post is either gone now or edited.

Don't worry folks, by the end of the day his current trip will be worth $28,000 and his net income for 6 months will be $550,000.

Although I don't have the pic of my 1099, and I've long since broke the laptop that contained the image. Go on - claim I did it deliberately, or that I deleted the image just so I didn't have to show you. I know you wanna.

Nope. $16,000. Just got a call though asking me if I'd throw 2000 lbs on the trailer in Chicago and bring it up to Green Bay. I turned it down, because I didn't feel like doing it. Didn't even bother asking what it paid, but I'm sure it was somewhere around $500-$600.

Not all of us are stuck averaging $1.60 per mile, not including deadhead miles. I'm sure if you did, your $1.60 per mile would be closer to $1.40 per mile. (and that's just assuming a 10% deadhead average)

Excuse Marmon Man, he knows absolutely nothing, and makes comments without thinking first. I'll be the 15K the Rev has on paying that, as I pull 3000 mile trips for 14-16,000 myself. Of course, people always want to caqll BS on things they know NOTHING about. Keep hauling freight MarmonMan, leave the HHG to the others

Synopisis of why the shutdown had no effect:

    NO representation, or designated speaker

No demands/suggestions were made to the carriers

A bunch of whiney old drivers just parked the truck, and didn't follow the proper channels. And the worst part is, THEY SHUT DOWN FOR NOTHING.

    Why?

The point of the shutdown was to retaliate a new tariff that meant a pay cut. Wanna know what?????? The surface transportation board shot the idea down, and thus, no new tariff was to be implemented. What did these fools do? Continued their shutdown protest ANYWAY. Why? The heck if I know, it really baffles me the stupidity of the deal.

Why shutdown for no reason? I posted this on their shutdown webpage, and nobody would respond. Why? Bunch of fools that think they're "sticking it to the carrier". I supported the shutdown until the tariff change got canceled, now I lose respect for those that shutdown anyway because they are a bunch of stupid fools.

Mreddie seems like a great guy, and a noble effort on his part to make a change. But, what change was there to be made? Honestly, what change?

I posted our website on their shutdown board, so you all can kick me in the azz for that.

To put it another way- if your congressman was going to make a crappy law, and you picketed outside his office for a few weeks, then he abolishes the law, would you still be picketing outisde his office afterwards> NO, you wouldn't, because there is no law to picket/petition/vote against. These drivers kept picketing after such law was abolished.

I'm done with this subject, delete all these posts if a mod feels necessary. I'm done with it.

And Marmon Man, we DO make that kind of money, but its not backing up to docks while forklifts load/unload our freight
