Thread: Load boards know about your search

Default Load boards know about your search

I just did a search on available loads for Monday. That's all I did. I got an email from a broker saying they were searching for a load for me with the exact criteria that I typed into my search within 10 minutes.

I thought this happened before but wasn't really sure until this time. I hadn't even posted my truck and they contacted me as a result of my searching.

I have had that happen before, Steve. I recall once I was checking freight in an area where I didn't have a truck. I received a couple of calls about my truck in that area, even though I didn't have a truck in the area and hadn't posted it. I spoke to one of the brokers for a few minutes. He told me pretty much the same thing as you just did. I found that rather interesting.

I posted my truck last week to see how many calls would come in,.....6 calls later and offers from 98 cents to $1.66 per mile came in,....I called them back and told them all the truck was loaded, and they called me for a week,..every morning to see if I was ready for another.
It should be interesting when I'm finally ready to go.

T minus 16 days and counting.

What bugs me though is that I post my truck for like Boston and I get 10 calls asking if I have a truck in Oregon or something. Don't these bone heads read my posting. If I had a truck in Oregon I would have posted one!!!

What bugs me is when I post a truck and tell them my rate up front,...they still call and offer 98 cents per mile :?
    Do they read the details?

I had one broker to call and offer me a cheap rate and even though I told him about my minimum, he called out again to offer the same load. He told me that he thought I might have become more desperate.

ITS has a value added feature for brokers called "hot prospects". When you search an area for loads your company info will show up on the hot prospects screen. You can call them and have your info blocked if it becomes too annoying.

which load board have you guys had the best luck with? I am leased on to a company that keeps me loaded with decent flatbed freight, but sometimes there rates suck and i would like to see what else is available.
