"the squeky wheel gets the grease" and you might see how much a lawyer would charger you to write a letter explaining how you would really like what you have coming to you and would rather not have to involve the courts.

Yeah, and so is the cost of the Vaseline.
If you can't shift it smoothly, you shouldn't be driving it.

o.k. try this. find a local lawyers firm. write down all the info. go to your computer & type up a letter head with the co, logo & header on it. & put a cell phone num on it of someone in your family. send it to them asking for you pay. when they call. let them think they are talking to a lawyer & all you want is a check sent to your client.(yourself) lol.

No, you cannot write-off the amount owed to you. You can only take the deductions for the costs that were incurred, which you would be doing whether you got paid or not.

Consult a lawyer and see what your options are. If you have anything in writing from the company acknowledging that they do owe you money, you could think about small claims as well. But I agree with the others, a letter from a lawyer is a good next step.

Just go to small claims court and file a case against them. It's cheap and you both will go before a judge. Real easy. My guess is that you will receive your check right before the court date. The company will be served a summons to appear in court.
