Default Hit a DEER and need a new bumper

i'm a new o/o driving a 2006 Coronado, i hit my first deer going about 70mph and put a big dent in the middle of my bumper. Anyone know a good web-site/shop for a good aftermarket chrome bumper? i live in GA.

There is a company in Texas called Dawson that sells fenders, hoods and bumpers (I believe). I don't know their number but they advertise in some of the trucking magazines.

Ive been driving almost 8 years and hit my first deer this past friday, i felt bad for the deer but all it did was knock my fairing a lil bit, just pulled back into place, the impact wasnt as bad as i thought it would be though i was doing about 55-60mph,

Dont feel bad, marcel. I've hit 4 in the last 2 years. That's how long that I've been running line haul for SYSCO. Of course, I run in north west Texas.

I was running up 83 between Junction and Abilene here in Texas and I was getting up some steam to pass this ol' Pete rock hauler in front of me. Suddenly, a blur from the left and WHAM! that old Pete bisected that deer.

I swear, I'd never imagined just how much $#!+ and blood is packed into a deer. It looked like a damn slasher movie on the white Pete- and on the front of my Freightliner.

if you run like the sysco trucks do here in this area(super slow).....when you hit the deer you spun it around, the deer got up off pavement, started running and caught back up with you and started beating on your door

Yeah. It wasnt a big one, thank goodness  , but it was on my side, on the edge of the shoulder in the grass. I seen him, and I inched over towards the zipper, and all of a sudden, he decided to cross over. Bad mistake. I felt the thumps when my trailers hit him.

There are some big pigs out there, but I've only hit that one. My buddy nailed one, one night. It was a big one. We passed through Mabel,Tx. It's about 30 miles southwest of Wichita Falls. It's a town of about 50 people , just east of Seymour,Tx. There is a sharp S curve, going through town. He hit that pig, right in the middle of that curve. His truck, both of his trailers were nasty. The right side of his bumper was dented in. Didnt rub the tire, though. His right fuel tank, bottom step were dented. Lukily, it didnt punture the tank. Pigs are some tough boogers. They are strong, too. They can tear up something. I havent ever seen it done, but I've heard that pigs can up root a 7 wire barb wire fence.(They stick their heads under the bottom wire on the fence, and pull up the Tpost, if they want to get under, and cross the other side.)

their long teeth can puncture sheetmetal as well, i`ve seen it happen to 50 gallon drums used for feed, their quick as hell too.

kinda like buffalo, everyone thinks their slow and non violent but if you get one of em going they`ll destroy a vehicle with you inside of it.
