you using load boards with good success?
I'm not running yet, not till October 1st, but I am signed up on Get Loaded and Internet Truckstop.
I like GL because it is easy to navigate, and its the first one I looked at and spent time on,..so I got really used to it.
IT is becoming the top one because of the way the site is set up,...IMO its set up to be easier than GL.
Since you have get loaded read the "Trucking for Dummies" post there today on the message board and copy it down. It's worth the 35 just for that post.
can you post what a reefer load from atlanta ga to lakeland fl or plant city/winter haven fl pays? I just want to have an idea since that is the area I plan to run primarily?
I did a search for Atanta 50 mile radius to Lakeland 50 mile radius (reefer and van) and came up with 22 loads but none had a price in the listing.
A very small % have the rate listed on GL its a bit higher on IT.
its very seasonal
Rate mate on ITS (which I an going to dump)
has 12 month average Atlanta-Lakeland 2.25 +-
Lakeland- Atlanta 1.32+-
can you tell me what one pays from IT doghouse? atlanta to lakeland, winter haven or plant city pulling a reefer?
I looked all over GL and can't find the message board, where is it?
same search, 16 loads and none had the rate in their info.
on same line as" my account" "my preferences"
Thats a great post Sonny, everyone having problems negotiating should read that.
Can that be cut and pasted here or do we have to put it into our own words?
I am not sure
but the mesaage board archives has provided me with hours and hours of info
and it alone is worth the 35
during the week it is dominated by bored brokers
you can ask them anything
also always check out the trucks wanted section
that really gives you a feel of the industry
The closer I get to my start date the more I'm going over these load boards. I didn't even know to look at GL's message board.
I know that IT has one but I rarely go on it.
IT message board is seldom used
Yeah,..IT is a real slow mover, but I learned a lot from it as well.
