Last year I averaged $3.32 per mile pulling a company trailer. That's for all miles, loaded and empty, on route and out of route. That's pulling a HHG trailer.

What company do u work for? And what part of the country are u working mostly?
Graebel Van Lines. I usually run from Texas east, and up the East coast.Originally Posted by nsxman2001

Actually, I very rarely get loads heading up here. I deadheaded home from Denver a week and a half ago, because there were NO loads heading to the midwest. Not a single one. I stick where the people are, and since half the population lives on the east coast..............Originally Posted by Jackrabbit379
Always nice to be reminded how cramped it is around here. :sad:I stick where the people are, and since half the population lives on the east coast..............
Just doing my job, shuffling all of you around. :wink:Originally Posted by RostyC

Moving is another ball game anmd theres alot more to it than driving a truck, sort of like oversized relocation, hence the 3 dollar rate....i did talk to guys who do this and that rate is deffinetely there if youre up for it..
Thanks for response, any type trl vans, reefers, flats,etc..
Does it matter? He asked a question, and I answered it. I don't see you posting your numbers here......Originally Posted by Dejanh
Why does everyone think that HHG is some sort of mystical place that shouldn't be discussed in public? At the end of the day, I do the same thing that every other freight hauler does. I simply do it differently.
There you go. Now where is everyone else's numbers?Originally Posted by vontrail
My sister got 3 quotes to move her 1200 miles and all 3 came up with the same quote of $3,000. That price includes the truck, trailer, fuel, packing and unpacking. Seems like maybe some rates are being over inflated here.Originally Posted by Rev.Vassago

If you hire Two Men and a Truck of course it is going to be cheaper. If you hire a professional it is going to cost you.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.
Nope, the quotes were from Mayflower, United and Allied. Looks like someone else's 1099 from Wausau, WI Rev. You live in Green Bay, WI.Originally Posted by Jumbo
Obviously, you have a reading comprehension problem. Graebel Van Lines is located in Wausau. At least their accounting department is.Originally Posted by SteveBooth

Rev. V, don't you think it's funny how people act when you actually answer a question? My standard answer is 'not near enough' b/c people want to question it if I actually tell them.
I would answer the question, but I have a trailer, so it doesn't apply to me.![]()
$$$$ NOT miles
I think Steve is just irritated because I don't accept his partial numbers as being correct. The only way to get your true per-mile revenue rate is to include ALL miles, loaded and empty. Steve ignores the empty miles. I use them all - all 54,941 of them.Originally Posted by Truckdobe

OK Rev, thanks for sharing. U R totally up front, but how much time are you loading and unloading. I hear some guys here even groaning about having to tarp a flatbed. I think unloading a moving van every few days would get old. Bill
