Advice for a O/O

I became an O/O in Oct of 06, joined OOIDA 1st of the Year. I am looking for advice and suggestions for taking care of an older engine and equipment.

I have a 1985 FLC, with a 350 BC Cummins, 15 speed overdrive transmission with deep reduction. A 1974 Utopia Log Trailer that had been rebuilt just last year. The engine has been rebuilt but am not sure how long ago. It uses oil, but does fine for what I am doing (Hauling Logs).

I hope to get advice from O/O who remember starting out, as well as others that may have just got started.

Has anyone heard of a company Kearns out of Atlanta that does Engines, Transmissions and rear-ends? I had a rear end go out and the shop told me it was from this company, and I would like to find out if they have a website.

Kearns is right near me and they are known to be a junk yard but I have never bought anything from there.Anytime I call they have egvery part I need.They even have used batteries for 35 bucks wow!There is another shop on moreland and not far from Kearns that rebuild do rear ends.They seem cheap with their $1,200 clutch jobs.404 362 4674
