Anyone leased to this company. I'm looking at the special commodities division, trade shows etc. What's the upside/downside with these people. They're advertising for O/O in those truck stop mags so I'm naturally sceptical. Any advise appreciated

I'm a United Van Lines hhg driver for a large agent.

The speccom (special commodities) business is decent, and they do avg 1.40/mi. Its some good running (2500mi/wk) from what I hear.

Expect to deliver trade shows, hospital machines, being paid to sit outside an event (thats right, paid to NOT drive!), and so on.

The best route is to put in some time with corporate, then move on to an agent of UVL hauling speccom only, and you'll do way better money wise.

Thanks Bandits Cousin. Going to look further into it, my wife gave me the green light to go back on the road after a few years of regional. 8)
