    Default Extended Warranties

Hey can someone buy an extended warranty for a semi for major components such as rear ends, engine and tranny like you can for a car? I am doing a lease purchase, ya i know i have to be careful with my contract, but everything in the contract they are living up to and I am not getting screwed on the price. 67,500 including interest on a 2004 freightliner columbia with a mbe4000 with it had 321,000 miles on put into service may 1, 2004 built in march or april 2004 according to the sticker in the door. also i am only getting between 6.4 and 7.5 depending on hte load and i want hints or ideas for products to push my mpg up to 8 on my light loads and 7.5 at gross.
Also, i hear say no to cheap freight but what does everyone consider for good pay when a company doesnt charge for trailer useage, pays road taxes, pays the cargo insurance, and most everything else besides my maintance of the truck and my bobtail and workmans comp and physcal damage?
I get a good rate $0.915 per mile plus a great fsc where i pay roughly 80 cents a gallon for fuel

$0.915/mile is NOT GREAT! If you lease to a carrier they are required to furnish cargo insurance. If they guarantee you fuel for $0.80/gallon, my guess is that you just signed with J.B. Hunt. Your road taxes will probably not run more than about $75/quarter, which is about $25/month, at the most. The fuel surcharge can change from week to week and may not be the same for every shipper. For them to guarantee your fuel at $0.80/gallon, then they are out of the norm. Most will base their fsc on about $1.10-1.25/gallon.
