Pop the cap off, take off the bolt, put the Crossfire on, and put the cap back on. It'll fit. I've got them on mine. :wink:Originally Posted by SteveBooth
Depending on the load board that you use, if you don't tell them to take you off the hot list, all brokers can pay a little extra to see the load searches that carriers do and the loads that they click on, so they have a good idea where you are and where you are looking to go.Originally Posted by SteveBooth
Yes, I have looked on one of the load boards that I subscribe and have had brokers call me and ask if I have booked my truck in the area where I was just looking around. It set me back the first few times until I asked one of them and he told me that they could see where I was looking for a load. Of course, Steve, in your case there were probably some brokers watching the forum about your exploits and knew that you were home.

Do you get better prices than the truckstops with PP or CFN? Do you get discounts depending on how many gallons you buy through the year?My CB is rarely on... I think they are worthless. Steve,
I think your readers would find it interesting if you posted your revenue/expense/mileage numbers for the latest trip. I was keeping track for a while but I got busy and lost track...

About 90% of that are checks from shippers.![]()
Steve,
Wasn't there was a guy from TMC that was picking up a load at the copper mine when you were there? Did he deliver to the same place as you? If so, who got there first?

[quote="Bigmon"]Ha, ya, I wish they were all checks. I have someone picking up my mail and depositing any checks that come in. They have been pretty regular. The shippers pay within a week or 2 and the brokers take 30+ days.Originally Posted by SteveBooth
Yes, there was a TMC guy there. He's the one that gave me a hard hat. I really thought I was taking my time and we all ended up within an hour of each other at the drop off point!!!!! I ended up driving that one day in the bad weather and doing 185 miles. One guy stayed in that Texas truck stop for an extra day and beat feet the next day and made up the 185 miles I did.
I can't believe how long my list is of things to do related to this job. Just the laundry alone took all day yesterday washing everything under the sun from my privacy curtain to my overalls.
I'm ready to hit the road again already!!!!
Steve, you seem to like running the left coast. Do you plan on continuing to run the West?
I'm not planning it that way it just happens. I'm going where the freight is but that sink hole Texas always sucks me in. I do like running out West. I wish I could get a dedicated run out West then back again.
Sure thing! It's an O/O forum....Originally Posted by rank

Steve, how do think you're handling the learning curve business wise so far? I know it's early but if you're keeping detailed records you should have an idea how you're doing. Are you making a fair profit after all expences including a truck payment if you had one?
Keep up the good work.
