If you're around Sioux Falls, it's pretty icy. We're supposed to get a couple of inches of snow or more, too.

Its almost as if we could use a weather forum? Nah, maybe not But updates like this are important for those who don't check the weather often.

Taking the Southern route this time. I'm from New England in case you forgot. I'm use to the snow, ice and cold and well prepared. I've already tasted what I think will be my worst on the last trip. Snow, ice, blizzards, chains, 9% grades and switchbacks!!

Not trying to one-up you at all, but just stating. I've got several friends who live in Denver, and THIS is the worst storm they have had in MANY years. (As in FEET in a matter of 2 1/2 hours) Buddy of mine is an O/O from the state line, and he was saying tonight that he wasn't even moving and they run in some VERY VERY sloppy/nasty stuff.

    Just sayin

Yup, I hear ya. Don't get me wrong, first sign of something bad coming and I'm the first one to hunker down. Those other situations were not planned and if I could have avoided them I would have. Those bad times are a good time to catch up on email, phone calls, laundry and plenty of naps. I carry enough coffee, snacks, water and supplies to last me at least 3 weeks. I would be the first to pull in, top off the tanks and sit tight!

Yoopr-Were you directing that at me? Or, were you directing it at Steve, and emphasizing what I was saying? The quote on me kinda has me confused?

I just love it when WHP shuts 80E at Walcott Junction and reroutes onto 30 to Laramie. Thats a lot of fun in blizzard conditions. 8)
