They have cheap and better paying rates. I was just offered $3/mile from one of their agents. I have also been offered rates as low as $1.30/mile. I refuse to haul the cheap loads. If you want to haul cheap freight, they have agents who are more than willing to accommodate you. They also have agents with decent paying loads. I have used their load board and gotten calls from them. If the rate is cheap then it is probably a double brokered load. Landstar doesn't like to admit it, but they do double broker freight. They do have some direct paying loads, but if it is cheap then it is likely a load they got from another broker. Landstar has a quick-pay program called Savings Plus. You can get paid in about a day or two from when they receive the bills. They do charge a fee for the early pay. Most brokers charge a fee for early payment. Fees can range from 1 to about 8 percent.

Like GMAN says they have good and cheap freight. I've been pulling decent loads all week for them cheapest 1.68 a mile most 2.52 amile. They charge 1.5 percent for savings plus.
May God bless all in their ventures......Been gone while but now I'm back. Going to keep on trucking even though the freight is sucking.
