Default Has anyone had any experience with Forward Air?

I'm seriously looking at Forward Air but haven't run into any drivers that are with them. Does anyone have anything to say about working for Forward Air?

I talked to a driver a funky loading dock at a mall. The store actually has the truck come to the front of the mall, not a loading dock in the back...weird. Anyways...

He was a company driver and said he does 3500mi/week. I asked him how and he said it was all drop and hook . Seemed happy. I've seen a few o/o trucks with big sleepers.

Last I checked (and admitedly it's been a while) they were paying a whole whopping $.90 cpm. And the o/o were running their *****es off.

    Not my cup of tea.

    Default Thank for the input

I signed on and have been running with them about a week. Its going great....the company seems reasonable, and although I pick up all loads at night, it is drop and hook and off I go...no waiting around for shipper to load etc. I drop load at another terminal, go to sleep, wake up and hook up to another load and go.

A week isn't much time to assess a company, but after being with the companies I was previously signed on with, Forward Air looks like a winner.

    Thanks for the input guys.
