I guess I'm the oddball. I just go the speed limit. If its fast(70) i figure I'm making good time. If its slow i figure I'm getting good fuel mileage. I don't have to worry about tickets, so its a win win win.

When in the 55 states that's what I do and when it's higher I almost never go more than 63 or 4 that is until I get half way by one of those NASCAR wannabees.we all know the kind, foolish looking numbers plastered all over the truck, looks like the word soap is not in their dictionary, they speed up you get back behind them and they slow down until I've had enough then I lose my cool and driver around them.
Remember when it was the four wheelers that were the idiots on the highway????The meat that is allowed to hold onto the steering wheels of big trucks now is disgraceful for all of us that are here for the long run.

Lots of slow guys out there. My truck will fly, but I see no reason to do it. Who can afford the fuel and the fines these days? I run whatever the speed limit is and usually +2 or 3. I keep the left door shut and the DOT constantly reminds me that they like to see a break every 4 hours. But until they put it in the regs, too bad.

My truck isn't governed, 3.55 rears, 13 speed and tall 24.5's with a tweaked E-model Cat. I've been GOOD about using self-control in the year and a half I've had it, but got popped today for 79 in a 65 loaded coming through Texas. ops:

I go with the flow. 55-65. There's no point in running 75 if you've got to slow down to 55 for people to get out of the way. You've just burned alot more fuel to average the same 60-65mph.
