have you tried to get on with any of the big boys yet? most ownwers are going to have their trucks leased on to someone who will have the same sort of requirements as if you were driving for the company. the only usual difference is the trucks aren't governed. and dude, exceeding safe speed? you may need a governor. no offense. you're young. try crst, usexpress, schneider, someone like that and get a little more seat time. i want to put my truck on with fed-ex, panther, landstar or someone like that. and i don't think you'll meet their requirements as a driver. feel free to go to their sites and check. but be hard on yourself when you read the requirements. don't give yourself the benefit of the doubt, i.e. they may say 2 yrs on the ticket, and yours is 20 mo ols. they will make you wait the last few months. how long have you been idle? if more thn 6 mo, they'll make you come on as a trainee. so, my point, don't shoot yourself in the foot. get in a truck and ride for another year. jb, anyone. just get in a truck.
    good luck

    Default hmmm...

why don't you call me and let's talk. with your record and your relative lack of experience, insurance is going to be hell. my number is 919.395.5205. or better yet,

    Drivers must be:
At least 21 years of age for cargo vans and straight trucks (no experience necessary)
At least 22 years of age for tractor-trailers with a minimum of 6 months recent, verifiable
    tractor-trailer driving experience(my insurance would prefer 2yrs)
    drivers must have:
    valid CDL
A verifiable clean driving record and good work history
No more than three moving violations in three years
No dui's, drug, or felony convictions
A nationwide pager; or cell phone
    A positive attitude
    Drivers must be able to:
Speak and read English well enough to do his or her job and respond to official questions
Block, brace and tie down cargo
Determine whether the vehicle is safely loaded
    Drivers must pass:
DOT drug screen and physical exam.

can you meet these qualifications? where do you live?
