International vs Freightliner
Just out of curiousity, which is the better truck....in terms of reliability, build quality, dealer service & network, resale value, parts availability & parts prices, and any other factor that I may not be able to think of at the moment ?
Would really appreciate your opinions / experience. Thanks. |
Kenworth

Take off all the logo's and it's all the same. But I personally prefer a freightliner my self.

I prefer International. I have had very good service out of it. A friend of mine has a Freightliner and love it. Freightliner probably has the best network of dealers, but they will work on any brand of truck. Much of the parts availability will depend on the area. There are probably more Freightliner dealers and some TA's are service centers for Freightliner. Neither truck holds their value all that great, but the International will probably do a little better. I think they are better built that the Freightliner, but if you want to get a good deal then you can probably buy a Freightliner for less than an International. There are some parts that are proprietary. Those always cost more since the only place you can get them is the dealer. Some parts are interchangeable. I think it is more a matter of personal preference. Look around and find something you like that is in good shape and you can get a good deal.
