Your serious? Wow! You've been busy!! Okay. Here's a few suggestions: One- some states have laws on the books that let you ex-sponge certain "activities" from your traffic and criminal record through the courts, things like murder, violate crimes and sexual offenses are not ex-sponge able, low class felonies and misdemeanors can be- you will have to do some looking in the law books or get some one who has access to Westlaw on-line to look up the current law and see if it's possible. If, it is possible, then you will have to petition the court(s) you were convicted in, both criminal and the traffic, to have these convictions taken care of. It will take some time to do this. Two- if, you get this done, then you are going to have to be a saint- don't even spit on the sidewalk for a long, long while! Three- find a company like Swift or Werner who have their own school or pre-hire through a driving school and start from the bottom. Good luck honey!!!

Most carriers who hire felons want to see 7-10 years pass before considering a candidate. Some won't hire any felons, regardless of how long it has been since the conviction. Depending on the circumstances of the conviction, you might find a carrier that will hire you. The two speeding convictions are likely to cause some concerns, depending on the speed limit. If one or both are 15 mph or more over the posted speed limit, it will be difficult to find a carrier that will hire you until they drop off your record. Moving violations are not usually considered after 3 years have passed. You can start by checking the company listings on this forum. It lists most of the major carriers and their policy on felonies and moving violations. Some carriers limit drivers to 2 or 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.

Smaller carriers are sometimes more likely to overlook some previous indiscretions than the mega carriers. The problem is lack of experience. You have held a CDL for several years and that may get you by the insurance companies as long as the carrier is willing to accept the risk. My guess is that you will need to find a carrier that will put you with another driver or trainer for a few weeks or you may need to take a refresher course. Go by a truck stop and pick up some of the trucking magazines. They are filled with carriers looking for drivers. Most also list the areas where they hire drivers. It might help to pick up a copy of the paperwork on your felony conviction or get a copy of your criminal history. I would also suggest you get a copy of your mvr. If you find some carriers who are interested, you can fax or email them your information and they can tell you whether they can work with you or not.
