    Default Freightliner Manual Like Hayes or Chilton Manuals??

    Do they make manuals for Freightliners like the Chilton or Hayes Service manuals for cars?? Where it covers wiring, engines, sensors, drivelines, etc for the DIYer.

    The technical service manuals through Freightliner are the most complete. The upfront cost is high but if you have enough mechanical aptitude, you will get that money back quickly in savings on labor. The engine book is usually found through the engine company(CAT, Detroit, Cummins,) The drive components are done similarly. The Freightliner book will have everything else that is unique to their truck.

    You can find some pdf files online.
    Peterbilt is pretty good with manuals as well.
    You can get wiring diagrams, or system specific stuff...
    Allison, Caterpillar, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Meritor, Bendix, etc.

    You can find stuff guys have posted online, or even from the dealer sites.
    At Peterbilts site, you'd go to the Peterbilt Life tab, and click on resources, and you will find some manuals.
    ..:: Peterbilt Motors Company ::..
    scroll down and choose a low/or fast download for some pdf files.

    If you need more specific technical drawings, like PACCAR body manuals, you might have to order that through a parts dept.

    I haven't searched Freightliner stuff. Do you have something specific you want?

    Mostly finding owner or maintenance manuals online.
    Freightliner Truck presents Owners Manual to meet all your driving and maintenance specifications

    Most of the wiring diagrams your going to find downloaded...are going to be system parts, like the HVAC system for instance.
