Default CDL A Renewal w HazMat & TSA

Most of the fees are probably determined by your state, Florida raised license fees last year so my renewal took the better part of $200. Spread over four years it's about $1 a week. License fee - $75, Endorsement fee - $25, Background check fee - $91, Tax collection fee - $6.25. I itemize taxes so I claim the cost as a "professional" license. BOL

Thanks for the info Sealord. Looks like the Fl fees pretty much doubled. They are double dipping us in FL with TWIC fees an HM endorsements along with the background checks. Didn't we run off the red coats over the same kind of BS about 235 years ago? They must be making a ton of cash judging on all of the containers and other freight rolling through here. Oh well we don't have much of a choice and like you say, it's all deductible on a long form. At least the per diem was raised up a little.

I moved from new england to Texas and swapping my license over took 11 hours at DPS (department of public safety), $96, took the hazmat written test, then had to get fingerprinted, $83 and 8 weeks later I get my hazmat license in the mail. 2 weeks after DPS I got a license w/out hazmat while waiting for hazmat to come through.
