Here's another one . .
Drunk trucker topples camera tower on I-65 ramp :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Metro & Tri-State
This guy was lucky. Imagine how badly his life is going to suck and he was lucky.

I hate to say it because that was a really good commercial, but its not from Canada, notice all the cars are right hand drive, so it must be Australia or New Zealand or somewhere like that.
Thanks for the video. I plan on showing it to my teenage daughter that will be learning to drive soon.
i drove past it headed SB the day after it happened...then NB the following day. He had to take a REALLY hard turn to the left in order to hit the thing. its not like its right next to the road, not to mention its kinda tucked in behind the concrete support for the end of the bridge....
***edit***
nevermind...thought he was headed NB cause of the tiretracks i saw....but from the story he was going SB

In order to HAVE pride, you must first TAKE pride.
this day and age, i'd like to see high schools start showing really graphic 'public service' messages on using a handheld cell besides just the alcohol one. I mean REALLY graphic....i mean....so bad that everyone in the class is weeping openly, and something that scares the kids to death. blood and guts...show them real crashes...real bodies in morgues...etc....maybe THEN they'll wake up.

I remember seeing a film about lung cancer when I was in Junior High School. It certainly had an impact on me. It was very graphic. Kids need to see what can really happen with certain types of behavior. Just telling them has little effect. That was a very powerful commercial.
. . someone stopped by to ask what we veteran drivers would recommend as a stimulant to perk up a drowsy driver. I couldn't find the original thread but I do recall there was some sound advice put forth. I don't recall that this particular remedy ever came up:
Orlando truck driver DUI: Orlando truck driver charged with DUI on I-75 - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com
Anyone else using it?
