    Default Local to OTR

I'm a local driver looking to go otr. I've been driving three plus years with zero tickets or accidents, a couple little yard scrapes but nothing of any substance. I've got 2.5 years with my first company and 9mos with my current company. I also went to a school to get my CDL.

I know this equates to nothing with the otr companies, but all I want is to not spend a bunch of time with a trainer. I hate being with another driver, especially living with them. Any ideas on companies that may give me a little credit for time served?

Thanks to all for any responses.

What area do you live in??

I only do local too. One time many moons ago i was thinking of going OTR but no company would hire me. But i did find 2 smaller companys that did OTR that would. Maybe try to stay away from the big companys and look smaller. less then 100 trucks.

I feel the same way as you do with driving with someone esle. I hate it.

yeah i agree wit Mackman... try to find a smaller OTR operation, even those can be tricky but as long as your got 2.5 years you should be fine, if you do got to a bigger companies see if you can get on a dedicated account, believe it or not i hear Werner actually have decent dedicated programs and J.B Hunt, but try to stay away from the 48 state route and the regional routes from the Mega places!!
