My Volvo 780 has a lot of storage space, forward and back. I think the only real contender are some of the condo Freightshakers but if you are considering one of those over a Volvo I'd cut to the chase and invest in a .357 and a single bullet.

All right then, try this one . .

    2009 Volvo 780 : eBay Motors (item 120554573332 end time Apr-15-10 19:44:21 PDT)

I'm actually serious about this one . . if he's telling the truth and you can get him to come down a little on that price, that looks like a good deal but not a steal. If you plan to continue running at or near Swift speed, that transmission will get better fuel economy and those are some serious warrantys.

I've had 3 Columbias and 2 Volvos (780?). Space inside the cab seems to be about equal (condos) but the Volvo had much better under bunk storage plus it had the equivalent of a 2 car garage behind the passenger side faring. I have seen that used for storage but have never seen where the accessories come from. It might have been home made.

If I were choosing a platform for a motor home (I know!) I'd probably go with the Volvo, too. To me, the Columbia handles more like a truck should; it isn't as comfortable but I like the inputs I get from the road.

again...nice...but its automatic. not asking to forward me 'for sale' listings...i can look for myself. what i'm asking is just what truck has the most storage. i've narrowed it down to the t2000 or the volvo 780.

i'm still with swift. waited till they started taking on 3rd party trucks. so if i can find one for $300/wk, i'm saving $800+/mo in payments, not to mention my name would be on the title. as long as i keep the miles i'm getting, with a $300/mo payment, i could make $1000/wk take home.

This will be my last one, then. Again, if it's an honest listing . . it's almost too good to be true . . '07 Columbia, 63k miles with a $55k price tag? That is by far the lowest miles I've seen in that price range. Zero down (not likely) and with decent credit it would be $1350+/- month (10% x 4 yrs).

    I'd go with a 359 flat top Pete with a 36" sleeper.
Be sure to get a hopper bottom.

if it were me looking to buy a truck, i would look at things like motor, aerodynamics, fuel mileage, mileage on the truck, maintenance records...things of that nature. if one is buying a truck and the first question is about storage space then i would advise him/her that maybe they are not ready to buy a truck and go it alone. all the storage space in the world is not gonna matter in a truck that will bankrupt one in fuel and maintenance costs. just my opinion!!

well ENGINE (a motor is an electrical power unit), aerodynamics, HP, etc. is a given. However, you could have a truck that CAN get 8 mpg...but if you got someone behind the wheel who dont know when to shift and/or use the most out of the transmission, the fuel mileage will go out the window. I know i can drive both a Volvo and T2000 and get low to mid 7s without even thinking about it.

How slightly is "slightly"? Probably show me a picture of a truck that rear-ended a school bus going 60mph.

Okay...since i mainly run midwest/mid-ohio and sometimes down into KY/TN...what should i look for in a truck? i'm guessin' around 500hp, hear ALOT about CAT engines, but what about torque/gears etc.? I would think i dont need ALOT of torque. i'd want a sliding 5th wheel for sure....
