    Default Looking for some advise

I have had my CDL since 1993 when I got out of the Army.I have driven many types of trucks and tractor trailers. Many of the trucks I have driven were over weight permited trucks.I have experience driving in 22 states.Yet I am having a hard time being"quailified" to drive oto.My driving record has 1 speeding ticket from May 2006 in my POV.Never popped on a drug screen because I have never used drugs.I dont drink.I am also a member of the National Guard with a secret security clearance.I AM clean. The only company that has even talked to me is CR England. The research I have done on them has me a bit leary yet I need to work.I am in Northern Az less than 5 miles from I-40.
I am looking for someone to give me a chance.Do you all have any sugestions?Any advise is appreciated.Thanks,Tim.

    Who have you talked with?

    How about these guys?

    McKelvey Trucking, Co.

West Coast Transportation & Trucking Company - Market Transport

=DATS= Trucking - Your Quality Service Carrier

    KAG West

    Home | Knight Transportation

    Saia Inc. LTL Carrier

    Swift Transportation Corporation

    System Transport

Watkins & Shepard - Less Than Truckload

These are two separate and totally different trucking companies.

    CTI, Inc.

    CTI Trucking, Inc.

That is a pretty decent list, all with terminals in Arizona, four of whom are Arizona based.

    good luck

You didn't mention how long you drove or how long since you have driven a truck. If it has been several years then that is probably the reason you may have experienced difficulty finding a load.

Have any of the companies with whom you have applied given you a reason why they will not hire you?

If that is the case, then you may need to find a smaller carrier who doesn't care whether you have otr experience or go with someone such as CR England to get some otr experience. Most of the major carriers want to see some otr experience. They don't count local experience when they look at hiring a new driver.
