Default Hey all been a long time!

    Hey there!

Been awhile since I have been on here! I am just frustrated and needed some advice. I think I could do better but not sure with the way the economy is. I have been working for this tiny tanker outfit since Nov, 2007 and get benefits 2 weeks paid vacation. Home every night, but been working 6 days all summer. Usually 70 hours a week and make about 800 a week gross. I get paid by the load so get screwed most days it seems. Guess what im getting at since I sorta miss OTR is the pay out there any better? I worked for Swift for 2 years and last year I was there made about 38k. Where I am at is about 42k a year. Is that avg for hauling gas all around town??? haha Just always seems that haz-mat would pay better but who knows. But since I don't slip seat, I work day turn. Who knows maybe im just frustrated for no reason!

Well just wanted to Vent! Thanks all

Let's see, 800/70=11.42 per hr. Where are you located? Here's one that pay's double what you're making.

Yea I guess what area would help haha. I live near Youngstown, Ohio which is a pretty much dried up area. I drive most of the time in northwest PA. I pull out of the refinery in Warren, pa about 95% of the time. There are better companies around. Advantage isn't to far of a drive. But since I live in an area that nobody quits there jobs. They hardly ever hire in my area.

Unless you want to relocate.... give up your home.... I wouldn't make a MOVE until we see how things shake out by next summer!

Lotta people would KILL for your job right now.

    Just my 2 cents.
