I left in 90' & moved here to take a min wage job. it has worked out great. I know full well exactly how things work there. for those who may not know.... the garbage men look close thrue your garbage when emptying your trash cans. if they see anything resembling any type of remodeling ( a few nails, a 4 inch piece of drywall, a wire, e.t.c you will be getting a visit from the local inspector asking, where is your permit. YOU dont hammer a nail in your wall without getting permission. these are not stories. these are actual events that took place.. and EVERYONE is looking for a payoff. you pad their back pocket or you do not do business there.
Yeah, I know how things work. Way back, my grandfather was friends with a connected man (let's just say not in government)...and my aunt dated a Calbrese (not a citizen in Italy). Can you get me one of those garbage pickup jobs where they sit around drinking...and only work 4-6 hr/day full-time?

You ain't embarrassed to park that in front of your house?

Have any of your neighbors installed concrete barriers in their front lawns lately or fortified their mailboxes?

no, and why would they have to? not a single one of them knows a thing about swift. all they've told me is, "i see those trucks all over the place!" yeah, that's about where their knowledge begins and ends.

That all was way back (before I was born). I know who you are referring to. My aunt dated the son. The father went to the clink...but I'm not sure about the son. I do know the name Iupa. I was seeing a young lady who was born in northern Italy. Her uncles had that surname (being those exact people to which you are referring)...but according to her she didn't want anything to do with them. I don't know the Hogans (per se) but I did go to school with some Hogans so maybe they were related.
