Default CB channels in California

Ok Im going crazy with the CB channels here in CA. Could someone give me a break down on what channels I should be running and where. I run from Salinas down to Yuma Az.

So what channel do I run on Hwy 101, then to Hwy 46, then to I-5, then I run across the 210 freeway, everything south of there is pritty much channel 19.

I know on I-5 when I try to talk no one answers, I know my radio works. Might be that no one wants to talk I dont know, any help would be great,

Thanks Grande .

Default Cali CB Channels

I've heard 17 might get 'er done. but it's been a long while since I've been in Cali. The closer you get to the border, a CB becomes pretty much useless in my opinion. You might try an archives search here and see what you come up with. BOL

To my knowlage, most everyone runs on 19.
Some companies run on different channels. UPS usually runs on 22, and Fed Ex runs on 4, etc..
I've only been to California twice. That was 2 too many times. If I remember right, there was quite a bit of traffic on 19. I don't know for sure, there might be drivers that run on different channels out there.

A lot of folks use channel 15 in the Grapevine area. Some run channel 17 up and down I-5, others use 17 and 19. People used to use 21 east of the Los Angeles area. Can't tell you anything about the sidebands. Keep clicking through the channels; drivers are out there and you'll find 'em.

Channel 15 starts northbound when you pass the I-210 in Sylmar and ends at CA-46 in Lost Hills.
