    Default Whose hiring recen graduates?

I graduated from a driving school in early January and have been looking for a job since. All of the major companies (Schnieder, JB Hunt, Werner, USA, etc) have told me they froze hiring inexperienced drivers in December due to the economy. I've been putting in dozens of applications a day to smaller/local companies, but so far no bites.

So, any advice/knowledge around here for who else I should check out?

Its going to be very tough to get on with a good company right now. Its going to be extreamly tough getting on with a good company with no experience.

Have you tried going back to the school and ask them for some companys they could recomend? Surely they wouldn't just take your money promising driving jobs?

I know its not what you want to hear, but I'm just shooting you straight, unlike the driving school you attended.

Stay positive and keep knocking on doors.

Try US Express, Swift, CR England, PAM, Martin, Knight, May Trucking, Celadon, KLLM, and Jr schugel

I dont endorse or know anything about any of the companys I listed. I just named a few off the top of my head.

It is unfortunate that you are going to be starting your driving career with the state of the economy the way it is. I wish you the best, and trust that you do not have many expenses or a family to provide for.

Arguing on the C.B. is kinda like running in the Special Olympics, 'cause even if you win your still retarted.
