I arrived at the ACME plant somewhere in texas about 0730. I can understand doing a trailer inspection, but come on....the dude insisted i hand over my keys, he then took them to the driver window 20 ft away where i 'checked-in'. Not only that, i had to hand over my cell phone (i took the battery out of it first), he had to inspect the inside of my truck....so many hoops i had to jump thru, i am almost upset he didnt fondle my sack for me.
Then had to pull around and check in again at another guard shack...lady there didnt seem to know what "good morning" ment. Then weigh my MT trailer, get word 20 min. later they were ready for me....so i pull around, bump the dock, and sit for 3 hours. I get the warning my battery was running low, and so i start my truck. I then get someone from inside to come out saying 'you cant have your truck running while they load you'. OH REALLY.....being how i am at the warehouse for "finsihed product", it must not be that 'finished' if it took 3 hours before starting to load me.
This load was to head to a railyard by 3p. seeing how it is noon, and i have 300+ miles to run....i'm pretty sure it wont make it.
why do some shippers out there just see the need to be C0CKS? Just do your job, and ill do mine. What seemed to get me....is that there is another Swift driver waiting along side me. but yet there have been about 5-6 other trucks who have come and gone. every one of them latino. Not saying there is any racisim going on, but this something that secretly goes on with certian shippers??
