The points on your license are suggestive of poor driving habits. It's one thing to drive a car that can kill a few people, and quite another to drive a truck that is capable of killing dozens, and the same goes for the property damage. They are already taking on a considerable amount of risk simply by putting a driver into a large CMV. To put a driver in it that has an indication of poor driving habits increases that risk exponentially.

Say you have an $18,000 Harley, and your buddy just got done nursing a bottle of Jack... Would you risk your nice bike by letting him take it across the state?

The time to worry about whether you can get the job you want is before you got the points, not trying to remedy the situation after you already got them. 20/20 HIND-SIGHT is a wonderful thing... But USELESS.
    Destroy the cities...
    and they will rebuild them.
    Destroy the farms...
and grass will grow in the streets of the cities.

Destroy the economy of the blue-collar worker...
and grass will grow in the executive offices.

    The bill has come due.
    ( R E T I R E D , and glad of it)

    Blake;

With your record and your illiteracy, you should forget about trying to become a truck driver.

You talents would be wasted anyway.

Now, you COULD become a dispatcher or a recruiter!!

I am a determined, hard worker who has been trying to further my career as a commercial truck driver. In order to be accepted to the trucking program I would need to have points removed from my license. To change my life around for the better, I am willing to complete community service hours and/or attend traffic school to remove this from my driving record.

    Sincerely,
    What state are you in?
Enter the name of the state + expunge in Google and see where it leads you. If your record is standing in the way of you being employed you may be able to have it expunged (legally erased). If you are successful your record will no longer exist.
It's sort of like a Presidential Pardon, but is not available in all states

Unfortunately for you, Point accumulation is a significant sign of future crashes.

What Judge would you write a letter to? I believe if you really want to try to clear your record either hire an attorney or wait it out.
i agree marylandkw, it wouldnt be fair to us who actually obey the law. its hard enough deciding where to go and find a decent company to take a newbie with no points and no criminal record.

Blake I hate to tell you this but its time for a reality check with your record, writing a judge wont help and your starting sound like those inmates you see on the jail tv specials who murder a bunch of people and all of a sudden you say you have found god and want just anyone to hire you.

The reality is that you will not be able to find a job in this industry as long as your record is accessible. It doesn't make any difference how much you may want to be a truck driver. Your record would not allow anyone to hire you. Most carriers have become much more selective in whom they will hire.
