    Yep you are probably screwed
    Lesson one :- Never just pay a ticket, that is admitting Guilt. There are many companies out there who can represent you in ABC state and bargan it down to where you pay the fine and not get another ticked in that state again in X number of weeks/months and it comes off your record. Costs some but keeping your CDL and a clean record is worth it. All the county/state want is the $$$s.
    I got a ticket in Texas last year for doing 84 in a 70. Was over width and over length, was trying to beat curfew into Ft Stockton. He dropped the ticket to 80 so it was $400 with a mandatory court appearance and 5 points. Got hold of one of the fight tickets sites cost me the $400 plus $350 to "fight it but no points and if I didn't get another ticket in Texas for 6 month it would disappear.
    Funny aside, as I was talking to the troop after getting the ticket (and I am always nice and chatty) I said "how come I got a ticket and the pilot cars didn't ?" He looked and laughed and said "H'll the front one was just trying to get away from ya and the back one was trying to keep up. Get outa here )

    Unhappy mvr and dac reports

    I recently received my mvr and dac reports.

    The mvr shows only the speeding ticket I received in Michigan with my personal vehicle.
    It was on 07/18/2007 for 30/25. This is now over a year old.
    It does not show the ticket received in Ohio for the above incident.

    The dac report states:

    Employment record

    Period of service: From 07/2008 to 07/2008
    Eligible for rehire: Yes
    Reason for leaving: Discharged
    Status: Student/trainee
    Drivers experience: Over the road
    Equipment operated: Dry box
    Loads hauled: General commodity

    Accident/Incident record

    Equipment was involved in an occurence or act that produced unintended injury, death, property damage of any type, or resulted in the equipment requiring a tow (other than mechanical breakdown) while assigned to the driver regardless of fault. Adverse information is reported for 7 years.

    Number of DOT Recordable accidents less than 7 years old: 0
    Number of Non DOT Recordable Accidents/Incidents less than 7 years old: 1

    Date: 07/24/2008

    Again there is no mention of the citation that I received concerning this incident.

    Does this in any way change my predicament and if so how would you proceed to gain employment.

    Or am I still just screwed for seven years?

    I would suggest trying a smaller company. Maybe a small trucking company close to home. Small trucking companies tend to be a little more lenient in my experience.

    I have to agree with the thought of going to a small carrier. Problem many will not talk to you till you have around 2 years experience. Between a rock and a hard place.. I would not give up yet.

    I'd try the training companies like Roehl, jbhunt, etc. I know Roehl more or less expects some small mistakes while your still learning. They told us in school that they expected 6 out of the 8 of us to back into something in the first 2 months.

    I did my part and got that out of the way in the first 3 weeks. I backed into another truck in the TA in Wytheville, VA. All that happened was I got the GOAL discussion from the dispatcher.
    That having been said, you've really got to watch your rear tires every time you're making any turn or any manuever.

    One more thing about turning that would have helped your situation, when I took my after-training driving test, I came up to an especially tight turn. As I approached it the tester could see I was uncertain how to approach it. So he turned to me and said, "lane markings are just suggestions." In other words, feel free to take over the entire road and intersection, including oncoming lanes, if that's what you need to get around the corner.
