    Default Update on Steelhaulers Wreck

Steelhauler's wife here, updating on the status of his wreck.Just to recount Steelhauler was killed in a truck wreck. He was hit head on by a bull wagon. The bull hauler was drunk and been driving for 2 days straight. The case went to court and the bull hauler was found guilty on DWI and Vehicular Manslaughter charges. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison. He won't be eligible for parole for 35 years.Considering he is 53 years old,he will be pretty old,if he gets out. Thanks for everything.

It was Highway 287 just outside of Wichita Falls,Texas. He had just leased on to a company hauling wind turbine parts.

I don't post here often, but wanted to extend my sincere sympathies to you and your family.

I too am glad that the other "driver" was put away for a long time. Absolutely inexcusable behavior.

You will be in my prayers.

Dear Steelhauler's wife...I just saw the post about your husband's accident. I understand your loss totally as I too am a widow too due to a accident. I am approaching the 4th anniversary of my loss so I am just a few steps ahead of you on this long sorrowful path.

If you ever need to talk just PM me. I would be more than willing to call you if you want. Sometime talking with someone who understands your pain eases it.

    amen to that 10-4!!!!!!!!!!

I am firm believer in "an eye for and eye". It's unfortunate that his (bull hauler) actions have caused grief and anguish to many people. Both families are now suffering for it.

Steelhauler's wife........it's none of my business, but I am curious, has the bull hauler or his family reached out to you?

Is there a news link ?? Just curious.... It is hard to believe that the justice system moved so fast..... Even if the guilty party pleaded guilty from the onset..... The system does not move that fast....

    Flame on......

Naw, I don't think there's any reason to flame. It's a legit question and one that admittedly crossed my mind, too. I've never known the justice system, especially in something that serious, to move that quickly. But if it did, that's some great news. It definitely helps you to move on faster. All the best to you and your family as you attempt to heal from the tragedy.

Let me set the record straight for those doubting thomas's.I mentioned this wreck on here because I knew my hubbie had some friends on here that wanted to know what happened. The driver did plead guilty to both charges. My lawyer and his lawyer got together and agreed on a plea bargain. This all happened on the 1st day of the trial. The judge agreed and that ended the trial. The trial was in a small town and that is how it ended so quickly.I apologize to anyone that I might have said something to that might have raised doubt about this incident. If you feel the need for proof, other than my word, let me know and I have pictures of the wreck.I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Labor Weekend.

This was such a horrible and senseless tragedy Steelhauler and I'm glad justice was served. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. If you ever have the need to talk or vent you know your family here at CAD are always here for you. May God be with you in this time of loss.
