    Default dumb ,lazy , inconsiderate?

The other nite my wife and I stayed at whites in Va. Next morning I got up had breakfast and cane out to my truck to find a US Express truck parked directly in front of me ,I couldn't get out , I wait patiently for about 15 min. then went inside to have that imbisol paged, went back and waited somemore, finally I woke my wife and told her to 10-4 me if he showed up , went back in to see if they could have it towed, by this time my wife 10-4'd me and said he just left, , thing is why would anyone block anouther truck in , which made me late for my unload appointment , which now we had to sit most of the morning till they could get around to unloading which almost made us late for our reload....
Chances are here didn't make his destination on time either though, I'm sure he had a flat on the inside rear right tire of his trailer somewheres down the road,
why would anyone be so stupid or lazy to park , BUT if you are don't FWM

For your post concerning that driver, the answer is simple: all of the above

Tell me you didn't go and slice a tire as payback like you seem to be alluding to when you have no idea why the truck was there. Maybe they had to go #2 real real bad and didn't have time to properly park. You say you were blocked in, were you at the back of the lot and therefore not able to back up and get out? If you had nothing behind you and therefore could have gotten out, then you sound just as dumb and lazy. How bout some more info here.

now thats a real adult way to handle the situation just go out and act like a spoiled pre-schooler..

i've gotten up late at nite and had to wake drivers up to move their trucks (illegally parked) so i could get out, but i don't get on this forum and whine about it, it's just part of the job.

why would anyone be so stupid or lazy to park
you see people illegally parked in truck stops all the time so just get over it and BTW did you knock on his/her truck to ask them to move, did you check to see if they were in the shop....? no you just went inside and had them paged. sounds a little lazy to me for someone is such a rush to leave.

you waited 15min then went inside then waited somemore, then went back inside. sounds like about 45 mins to me and if that 45 mins made you late then thats your fault you should have been ready to leave sooner. heaven forbid something should happen (like a wreck) that would hold you up for 45 mins and make you late...? what would you do then get out of your truck and throw your little temper tanprum at the cops for not clearing the road fast enough and making you late..?

even when we are at a truck stop less then 2 miles from where we pick up/deliver we still leave 1 hr before so we are ALWAYS ontime. the ONLY times we have been late is for weather, accident (can't do mush when the freeway is closed) or breakdown.

yes some drivers are inconsiderate but maybe you need to grow up and stop acting like a child.

and as i side note YES we work for US Xpress "least you could do is spell it right"

Well that sucks that you was late for you appt but I think vandlizing someones truck is going a little too far, pretty sure the law would think so also. You could have caught him/her at the truck and thumped their head if the reason was not good enough for them blocking you in. Or you could have got the truck number and called their safety dept. Not alot they could do, but a call in is a call in.

Flood, to me (and its only my opinion) leaving an hour to get two miles down the road is a little extreme but whatever works for you

true it is BUT last time we were in SLC at the sapp bros and our pick up was conway (2.5 miles away) a car ran the lite just west of the truckstop and we had to sit for 35 min. so what should have been a 10 min drive turned into 45 min's and we were still on time. if we had planed on leaving say 20-30 before our pick up we would have been late.

my point is you never know when something will happen and we would rather error and the side of early rather than JUST IN TIME.

you know we have never had a customer get mad because we were 2-3 hr early even when we had an app time (sometime we have to wait ) most of the time they will unload us early (if we have a live unload)

I don't have homeless people sleeping in the hall in front of my bedroom so I can't open my door in the morning.

I love that phrase: "part of the job". Consistently used to justify all the BS involved in OTR trucking.

if we had more parking ware we need it then the truckstops wouldn't be packed like sardines and we wouldn't need to park on ramps but until that happens (not likely) it's just something we all have to live with. just like right now we're sitting on the side of the road outside ware we picked up last night, i was to tired to drive and NO truck stops around.

It's a sad day and age when people try to justify being inconsiderate, but you do drive for the same company so its expected for you to have a biased opinion. All this "get over it" and"part of" is straight garbage. If all of the positive changes that have been made in the world today werent instituted because people should of just "got over it",alot of the luxuries we are afforded today wouldnt be here.So if im standing in the fuel desk line, and I smell a rank odor of chimichangas and ass coming from the ever elusive "lifestyle trucker",im suppose to just "get over it"?/ I get it,maybe he just had a "rough day" and I dont know what hes been through so it should be acceptable?Or maybe when you have to sit in the fuel island all f'n afternoon because some jack ass is standing inline inside the wendys seeing if they can put 4 patties on his burger instead of 3 while his truck is blocking everyone, that should be acceptable?

The only fast food in a t/s worth standing inline for is an Arbys Reubon And once you get done eating one or two of those, you will probably smell like ass

The last time I ate two of those I was stuck in their restroom for almost an hour...and when I left it most certainly smelled like ass!

When using the word imbecile to describe someone else, it may look better on your part to ensure that you've spelled it properly.

Southern Ice Cream in Marietta Ga has rejected some of our drivers just for being early.

Why would they reject the load just for being early? They should be happy it was early!

So the warehouse tarmac is not full of trucks who arrived early. Lots of places have enough space to allow on site parking, it's possible this place does not.

To the original poster: What a fluckin azzhole.

I got to say that if my wife was driving my daughter down the highway with the window down and she was smacked in the face with a chunk of truck tire, and seriously injured/disfigured, because you acted like a jerked-off teenager because you were held up for 15 minutes, I'd be half tempted to slaughter you. Next time plan ahead for delays and think about the possible consequences of your foolish acts.
