    Default WTF

I am sitting in Carneys Point N.J. till tomorrow morning. Not a problem. Last night I came in and went to the far end of the lot, as far away from the building as I could and parked. This morning I am outside cleaning my mirrors and dusting and some ******* backs right in next to me. In the row I am in there were 30 open spaces between me and the next truck, why not split the difference? The doors of my truck were open so I know he didn't think I was parked and sitting at home. Stupid coolie flatbed drivers.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.

He probably didn't realize you were the owner of the back row and was supposed to wait till you showed him his designated parking spot.

Maybe he doesn't like a neighbor being so far away. Why are you worried about it, he didn't hit your truck...........

He is reducing his chance (and yours) by about 50%

of being side swiped by some fellow backing

    in at 3 am.

Truck stops are notorious for backing boo boo's

I agree, if you park in the middle of the open spaces, you double your chances of being backed into.. OR, maybe he just thought you were cute

I don't know if the term "coolie" means something else up there, but around here it's a racial insult. I'm just sayin'.

For the life of me, I can't understand why you folks think spending any part of the weekend in a truckstop is OK.

Maybe because they don't have any other choice of local work in the area they live in CFM. Just because you have a plethora of local jobs in your area to chose from doesn't mean someone else has the same. In my area there is very little good paying local jobs unless you have OTR experience first.

Just be thankful it wasn't a "bull-hauler" with a trailer load of cow dung.... :x
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Well just my two cents, but given the choice of backing into a wide open area, or backing next to someone, I would back next to someone for the visual reference, I always seem to back much much better when I am backing along side of something or inbetween, just easyer with the visual references. I remember I went to this one warehouse with about 6 docks, and all empty, and they insisted I go to dock 3, and they didn't have a single line painted anywhere, I swear it took me 45 minutes to get into that dock, but give me a crowded walmart DC tight as a Pilot at 10pm, and I will get it in in one shot.

I forgot how crappy it was to run on the weekend. This is my first weekend on the road in almost a year - and it STILL sucks.
Wanna play a couple online games that are absolutely free? These are the games I play on a very regular basis:

Well, when you haul oversize stuff sometimes you have to sit. I unloaded in Mass. Yesterday and pickup in Delaware tomorrow. Besides that I grossed $2000 for this week and drove 2600 miles which comes out to .76 per mile as a company driver. I will sit for that.

Doesn't matter where you park someone will finally get you ! Just this past Friday I parked in the TA West of Memphis. Being 135 feet long and 13 feet wide I parked on the end of the row taking up two in line parking spots. Left all my marker lights and strobes on so people could see me. Woke up in the middle of the night as the truck tilted to one side accompanied by a grinding tearing sound  Was some ***** hole backing out of Idle Air that forgot what mirrors are for. Fender, air cleaner, hood, mirror, door. Had the b@lls to say "I couldn't see you, hll I look kinda like a christmas tree, over 300 LED lights plus 6 strobes and 4 rotators.
Morel is "I you don't awna get it never stop the truck"..

Some kind soul in Van Horn Texas last week had the grace to back into my truck at o-dark thirty, ripping out a chunk of fiberglass from my driver-side wheel well. Apparently noting what he/she had done, said driver then decided to find another parking spot -- in another town, from the looks of their tail lights as I got up to check the damage. Yes, I was parked both legally and properly in the middle of my parking slot, not that it should matter much.

Highly professional. Such behavior should be commended.
