    Default Cross Class?

Can't seem to get a definitive answer out of IL, does anyone know if it is legal for a class A licensed driver to operate a class B vehicle?

Some family stuff came up.. as well as jury duty, pulling me off OTR. Been searching for something more local and it would seem there's some jobs involving Class A and B dumps. So ... been wondering if that's something I can do. Betting I can do Class A dumps, but would I be allowed to operate a class B vehicle or would I be required to get my license reclassified?

Don't see why you can't. Class A is top dog of the licenses. Class b is lighter loads... A class B driver can't drive a class a vehicle but a class A holder can.
Did you graduate from a truck school? It would be in your books.

    good luck.

Yeah, C1 St. Louis .. not terribly proud of it, but managed to stay safe so far. Far as I know, wasn't in the info they gave me.. but then again, kinda boxed that all up, for the move.

Yes, a Class A license is valid for Class B vehicles. Basically, the licenses tier on each other... A C license can't drive B, a B license can't drive A.

With a class A license you can legally drive anything but motorcycles and busses. Need different endorsements for those
"And the road becomes my bride
I am stripped of all but pride.
So in her I do confide.
    And she keeps me satisfied"

"As if you ever knew what it was taking you down the line..."
