Default this is for poster chasing daylight

you were confused on my second accident , i live in maine.their was damage it was to my pickup truck .i was by myself no one or no ones property involved.i only had liability. if you own your vehicle in maine you only need laibility ins .so where there wasnt any other vehicle involved my insurance didnt need to know becouse they would only be concerned if another vehicle was hit becouse thats all they would be responsible for.my truck was damaged but i had to eat the cost of damage becouse i wasnt fully covered.the reason its on my report is an off duty officer went by and felt he needed to call it in.so when a deputy showed up know it has to go on my dmv report. i live in the country all back roads i was in the process of just towing it home but it didnt work out that way.and on top of that he put in the report i was injured which i wasnt i was outside the truck calling a wrecker when he showed up .i tried to have that part withdrawn from the report but they refuse to change it.so i had to get documentation from my place of employment it shows my hours worked that day and the witnesses they new i wasnt injured. hope this clarifies it better.

I'll make a note never to go to Maine. In every state I've ever lived, the basic rule has been "no ticket, no mark on the MVR." That seems pretty sensible to me.

Didn't mean to insult anyone from Maine. But if the law there is written so that an incident with no tickets issued goes on your MVR, then it's a dumb law. Insyead of razzing me, perhaps your time would be better spent contacting your elected officials in an attempt to get such idiocy changed.

Who's razzing you? Chill out, I was agreeing with your statement. I have 2 accidents, neither my fault. One man cut me off from the right trying to get into the left oncoming lane and I t-boned him, and a dog I hit. Both on my MVR even though I was not at fault for either.

Sorry if I mistook your statements.

The Tbone is one thing. IMO if you didn't get a ticket it shouldn't hit your MVR. But at least it was an actual accident. On the other hand, an MVR ding for hitting a dog is just flat crazy.
