    Default DDL (Drivers Daily log)

DDL--How do you erase the back up log files. When I change a few things it ask me to use current or backup files. If I wanted to use the backup I wouldn't have changed it.
I'm not asking any opinions on rewriting logs. So please keep that to yourself.

The easy way is to simple make the log entries you want to change. Save this file. Then make a back-up of the file. Now both files will have the same thing in it's data.

And I could care less why you want to do it. That's your business.

I love DDL. Pulled into the Maryland scale on I-68 a couple of days ago and they were checking logs. When he asked for mine I stated that I used DDL he said "Thank you, have a good day" and sent me down the road. He didn't even ask to look at the print-outs or the computer.

Has anybody else had an experience with DOT and DDL. Good or bad, I use DDL but keep a paper log current to match it to avoid a confrontation at a scale if they want to check my logs.

Just curious if DOT in various parts of the country have warmed up to DDL.

I've been inspected 4 or 5 times since I started running DDL. The only time I've ever been questioned about it was during a DOT training session at the scalehouse. They were mainly just interested in how it works.
