Anyone know which companies may be more apt to hire drivers right out of driving school to line haul runs??
Any input or links would help.

HO wolding is a cut-rate irregular-route truckload carrier. The term "linehaul" implies dedicated terminal-to-terminal drop/hook. Mostly associated with the LTL outfits although foodservice, small parcel (UPS & FedEX) and others run linehaul operations as well.
Werner has a program called NETOPS which involves shuttling trailers between drop yards, terminals, and customers for 10 bucks an hour. So it's "line-haul" in a sense, but at those wages I'd sure as hell "haul"-***** away from a deal like that. How Werner manages to get meat in those seats for what they pay is a mystery to me. But low wages, long hours, unpaid waitng around, and piece-rate mileage pay = "that's trucking", "part of the job", "without trucks America stops", etc, etc, etc...
wolding has some dedicated runs that they need filled which is as close to inline as i would want, who would want to do that? wheres the adventure?
i know old dominion used to. You might also try wilson and Estes
Jamspeed,
Some Conway locations have driver apprentice programs if you have no prior driving experience. You will have to start on the dock, and work your way to the road.
If you have your Class A license, with some prior driving, as in Class B, they will take you with no Class A experience. That's in Minnesota!

Tri - Air Transportation out of Bensonville, IL hires linehaul drivers straight from the truck driving school.
The current driver that runs from IL to Cedar Rapids, IA recently went in the ditch. He is a little freaked out now.
He is thinking of going with Schneider to get some better training.
So just because they may hire you with no experience, doesn't mean it will be a good experience.
