I am a firm believer in Volvos. I don't care to drive anything else. I bought my 780 and I love the way it rides, turns and the roomy interior. This is my preference though, others might disagree.
    Drive safe everyone.

So they're expensive to purchase and lose their value quickly?

I've never been in a Volvo, but from the pictures I've seen, they seem to have plenty of room and nice sleepers. I really like the idea of having a table with bench seating below the bed. However, I've heard some people say they're not as reliable as other trucks and they cost more to repair. Is there any truth to that?

If the truck has a Volvo engine they are expensive to repair. I recently spoke with someone who told me that they have had a lot of complaints on the new Volvo's. They had a really severe tire wear problem at one time. I believe it turned out to be the u-bolts or something. I had good service out of the one I drove. A friend of mine owned a 770 and LOVED it. I really like the way the bigger sleeper Volvo's are designed. They do pretty well on fuel mileage on the older units but tend to be a little heavy. I don't want to get involved with any of the brand specific engines. Volvo, International, Mercedes, Mack and soon Paccar will have their own engine. I prefer one of the 3 major engines, such as Cat, Cummins or Detroit. It will cost less to repair and service will be more readily available. If you like Volvo, there are many with Cummins engines. There is one other thing which can make repairs more expensive on a Volvo. The engines are set back which can make it more difficult to get to the engine.
