One way or the other, Im going to be Haulin' Freight in 2008!
You are mixing up "religion" and fanatics with following Christ and giving all glory to God. I was tempted to state my opinion of why you post the way you do but that would be judgmental on my part. I believe that if it's God's ultimate will for me to do something doors will open. However I do have the freedom of choice not to take advantages that are presented to me or the freedom to screw things up if I chose. Giving Glory to God is not giving up your freedom of will. Do you not honor and praise your father and mother? So where's the problem with honoring and praising God?Originally Posted by TimberWolf
By the way you keep saying Merry Christmas so does that mean you do believe in God and Christ?
Rest up. The days are long. Keep an open mind. Don't think too much - just do what they want.
When in the truck follow the TE's instructions to a T. Failure to do so is probably the easiest way to get bumped.
Nothing you get exposed to is earth shattering. Just a long process, a lot of students will be bailing out or getting shown the door. Don't let that concern you. By day 7 the eyes get baggy and the creases deepen.
You don't need to worry about being "perfect" just good enough to get by. You start learning how to drive when you hit the road with a fulltime TE.
Don't worry about backing. Most newly 1st seated drivers suck at backing. The ones that don't totally suck usually end up hitting something due to over-confidence.
When he finally found where to unload, he had a dreadful shock
His trailer pointed toward the road and his cab right to the dock
And as he looked around him through the tears he made this sound
Oh, give me forty acres and I'll turn this rig around.
Good luck.
"He knew who I was, at that time, because I had a reputation as a writer. I knew he was part of the Bush dynasty. But he was nothing, he offered nothing, and he promised nothing. He had no humor. He was insignificant in every way and consequently I didn't pay much attention to him. But when he passed out in my bathtub, then I noticed him. I'd been in another room, talking to the bright people. I had to have him taken away." -on meeting George W Bush at Thompson's Super Bowl party in Houston in 1974
Buy the ticket. Take the ride.
I dont believe that Jesus was my savior, he most likely was just another person who walked the earth like you and I.
The way I see it God did not create a diverse world with millions of people who have different religious beliefs only to damn them to hell if they do not accept Jesus as their savior. It is what it is you believe you way and I will believe my way when it is all said and done no one truly knows what happwns to the soul after death or even if their is one.
A religious fanatic comes in all shapes and sizes you never know.
I simply believe that organized religion devides people from people based on their belief system, and that is simple fact....
Being spritual is a different kind of relgion, a personal religion of my own with our creator.
