Default Dont have a good feeling about the whole thing...

I faxed up the accident report that Becky, my recruiter, wanted as well as emailed her other info that she needed. I have yet to hear anything from her. Im not feeling to good about this with Schneider right now. The accident wasnt my fault, as it shows on the report. Could they just be THAT busy that she cant confirm she got it and tell me yes or no?

Are they doing backgrounds BEFORE hiring now? If so, that could explain the wait, but I just wish she would let me know SOMETHING! Im so anxious and just ready to get started. Every minute that goes by feels like an eternity!

IMHO any company remotely worth working for will do at least a basic background check on every applicant before bringing them in for orientation. Many companies also do a second one during orientation unless only a few days have passed, though even then they often run a new MVR just to be sure.

With the economy being what it is, many blue color jobs being shipped overseas, etc there are record number of people trying to get into trucking, so yes the recruiters are very busy especially at the training companies. If you have not heard anything after 3 days though go ahead and give them a call.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

It's only Schneider ,And it's not like they are paying anymore than the average Big company...Except Werner...So if they don't call you you can find a job equal to them with almost any big carrier ...

From what I've seen while driving OTR in 2.5 yrs by talking to other drivers is that swift isn't that bad of a carrier ...not awsome...But not bad ...probably as good as Schneider . Personally I don't think there would much of a difference between swift and Schneider other than Orange trucks VS,. White trucks ...

Go figure...Becky just called me and everything is looking good right now. I need to get exact dates of my jobs, which I have, and email them to her. Once she gets those, she said we should be good to go. I think they are doing the background befoe the hire now. She said that they want to make sure everything is OK before they get you to school. I guess Im still in for
    now...LOL.

Sorry for stressing on the forums, guys, but I just want this SO bad...you dont even know. Ill try to be a bit more calm over this whole thing from this point on.
