Are there any union tanker companies? do they hire newbies?

i work for crossett Inc they are teamsters and they are based out of warren, pa. you need 2 years exp.

Will they hire outside of pa? I live in Rhode Island and I'm going through the Local 251 teamsters academy. I am now a member of the union but still in school what would be my chances? How is the pay,miles or salary? do they have regional accounts or is it just Pa & NY. I live 8hrs from the pa terminal and 6.5 hrs from Rochester NY.

they do have some otr drivers but ot sure on where they go to.

well I live in rochester, ny and they have a couple terminals:

1. Warren PA

2. Bradford PA

3 Tonawanda NY (Buffalo Area)

4 Oil City PA

5 Rochester, NY


They also have otr drivers, but dont know much of there operation.

As far as the company pay goes I am very satified I dont pay for benefits
the company picks up the tab on that, but i have a 15.00 co pay whenever i see a doctor.

benefits are great. each terminal have diferent contracts so the pay might be different, not by much. i average out about 800 to 950 take home pay. 1200 - 1300 gross i claim 3 and live in new york. the company is very family oriented and they treat every person great. I have been here for a year. I came from TMC over the road. and i am very happy. give them a call at 814-723-2200, they might be able to help you out.
