    Default KLLM vs FEDEX

I don't know if this has been posted already. I searched and didn't find anything on it.

Has anyone heard of this wreck in NM at MM 89 on I40. About 2 weeks ago. The KLLM driver crossed the median and hit a FedEx truck head on. The KLLM driver blew a .12. He killed on of the drivers in the fedex truck that was in the bunk. Also seriously injured the one behind the wheel. He is in jail for vehicular manslaughter and DWI.

This just got me wondering how many drivers drink and drive. I got plastered the other night and I wouldn't even think of getting in my pickup much less an 18 wheeler.

I hope that driver rots in jail. That could have been anyone of us instead of that fedex truck. Think about that the next time you take a drink and get behind the wheel.
Has everyone forgotten how to be COURTEOUS.
    If you've forgot, it means.
respect for and consideration of others

I don't know about drinking, but I read article recently in one of the trucking magazines and they did a random drug test on about 500 truckers and 42% had drugs in their system. Marijuana was the most popular drug they found.

You have to remember pot stays in the system longer then most drugs. They could have been on home time smoked a joint with friends etc and 2wks later tested and popped dirty.

Sorry what you do on your time is ur biz, Now smoking the pipe before/during your shift thats another story.

i've seen drivers buy beer at fuel stops and liquor stores and than drive off. So im not surprised that stupid drivers drink and drive.

if their willing to take a chance of loosing the one thing we all need to keep working in this industry, our cdl, by getting high on their days off then they are idiots and deserve to loose their license and job. everyone who gets high knows how long it stays in the system and know they can get called in for a random at any time.

I don't care how long ago they smoked it. If it is still showing up, it has to be affecting them someway(maybe effects from long term use).
