Default New driver, my new experience a/werner

hello I just registered on these forums. I am 21 years old and just got my license. I took the time and applied to several companies and so far nothing but my ore hire from Werner. They are shipping me out on a bus at 5am and arrive in Allentown PA. So far they haveneen good but the amount of stuff I have to bring on a eight week training trip is insane and only allowed one bag. Tommorrow is the bus, I will keep people informed tommorrow.

Bye for now, and think god for this iPhone as I have no laptop.

    Peace

Good luck little buddy, take it easy and gain some experience, put your time in, then run like hell (from big blue). In the meantime, alot of the oldtimers are full of wisdom, sit with them, conversate with them, and chances are you will learn alot from them.
    Best of luck man.

my condolences to you. a goodly number of the entries in my bad trainer web page comes from my wife's experience with werner's trainers.

This link: http://truckdriversparadise.wordpress.com/ will take you to my site with
    -Good / Bad Trainer
    -Carrier Information (Excel Only)
-Job Hots Search file (Excel and Web Page)
-as well as links to pictures for you to look at.

Expediting is different, but the same, but it's different. I'm so confused.

The Allentown terminal is an arm pit. I am shocked they would send a new student there. When it rains, all that grey dust forms a paste that gets into everything on the truck and in the building. Seriously, that terminal looks like a small truck repair shop that represents a Super-Fund clean up site.

Werner sucks, I did my rookie year there. Keep your record clean and hire on with a real company in 6 months.

HANG IN THERE, there are worse choices you could have made.

Get the most out of it you can and keep a positive attitude. Things will suck at times but it's nothing thousands of other guys haven't done before. You can too!!

Call the one of the local Pizza shops. The front desk has menus. That is what I did when I use to stay at that motel(not with Werner).

sorry for all the spelling mistakes it is hard to type on the cell phone. So far it is not bad and I got a couple friends who are here as well so time is moving. They basically said if you get into an accident your fault or not within 6 months your fired. And no matter how long you work with them, if you roll the truck over your fired on the spot. Out of about 17 people here about four can barely speak English.
