Maybe I should have made it more clear. Something like "Picking up transvestite hitchhikers and sleeping with them in the truck..." That's what I actually meant. Why is everyone talking about trainers? :wink:Originally Posted by Jackrabbit379

You know.....the content of this thread is creating a really "bad visual"!!!
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!
Remember: The "truth WILL set you free"! If it doesn't "set you free"....."it will trap you in the cesspool of your own design".
They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.

Ha Ha! Thanks for the advice everyone. I am leaving here shortly to get to my motel room as orientation starts tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I have everything I need.
I'll keep everyone posted as often as I can (no laptop  ).
See ya on the road!

Good luck!!!
Find something you like to do, be the best at it you can be, the money will come.
Don't feel bad,....I always win the "Who had the worst expierience with a trainer" contest.
I have never been so disgusted and grossed out in my life,...and I grew up on a farm!!
Now what on a farm could disguest you and gross you out? I can't think of any, besides yellow calf crap.Originally Posted by Doghouse

P.S. Where's those pictures of your truck?

Jackrabbit I agree with you on the subject line.
Colt - I had the same kind of questions concerning trainers. I decided to have some fun with it and post it on my web site.
This link: http://truckdriversparadise.wordpress.com/ will take you to my site with
-Good / Bad Trainer
-Carrier Information (Excel Only)
-Job Hots Search file (Excel and Web Page)
-as well as links to pictures for you to look at.
Expediting is different, but the same, but it's different. I'm so confused.
Good luck to you Colt in orientation and future with your new adventure! Lets hope some of these experiences related here don't find you!
Cheers
Well, it probably would have been better if I had not have said anything, but when I first saw the subject line in the forum, I was like, :| hmmm.Originally Posted by dle

No,...I loved being on the farm,....it was the pigpen that always sent me hurling,......I know it doesn't seem like much, but when your working a farm at 7 yrs old,......disgusting is a daily thing.
Still,..everything I do now is nowhere near as hard as working that farm,....I'm on vacation compared to that.
When I was with my trainer at Millis, we got along great!!!!!!!!!!!! I still call him and still are friends. Before I even got in his truck I talked to him several times on the phone before hand 8) and had a feeling we would get along great
Heck even after 3 years being out of his truck, I still call and ask him questions.
If you end up running in a team situation, you will have to share the bottom bunk as you can't use the upper while the truck is in motion. It's easy to pull your sleeping bag down from the top bunk and toss it on the bottom when it's your turn for ZZZZZZ's.
