Most drivers are in a mid life crisis when getting started.

I dunno if you'd call mine a crisis - I started driving school 2 weeks after my divorce

First drove a dump truck "on road" when I was 16.

(That was in the 70's when that was legal to do.)

First drove a truck "off road" (on private property) when I was 11.
If you can't shift it smoothly, you shouldn't be driving it.

    Default Start Age

    You need at least three more age ranges, 45 - 50, 50 - 55, 55 - 60. I was 49 when I started.

I first drove a truck for a living when I was about 18. Things were a little different back then.

yep things were different then. The earth was completely made of water and everyone wore scary blue body suits. Everyone except Kevin Costner because we had to know who the star of the movie was!

Maybe it was stone wheels that were foot power and you had to go yabba dabba do to get them going. :P :P
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

Rubber tires? Na, they came later. After we drove the block tires the edges would round out so that they rode a little smoother. Man, it sure did bump with those square wheels.

    Yeah, and "under 18" too!

I couldn't vote because none of the choices applied.

DANG, Gator!!! Poor retirement planning, eh?? (just kidding... I'm aware of your "land ownership!"

But, I gotta ask..... WHY did you start at that er, um.... "mature" age?
