I have yet to here of anyone mention Sapp Bros. anywhere on any forums. Is there a reason for that ?

I had to start my 10 hours over because of an inspection not long ago. I was west of Nashville on i-40 and it was around 2am before i decided to stop for the night. I got off the exit for a Pilot but there were already two trucks parked on the shoulder of the off-ramp. I reasoned that there wasn't much chance that there was any parking in the Pilot so I just pulled up and parked behind the second truck. Around 9am, I woke up because a knock on the door and the officer put me through a class 3 inspecton while parked! He saw how late it was on my log book when I had stopped and he didn't write me a ticket for parking on the ramp and I got a $25 bonus from my company for getting an inspection with no violations. Now another driver told me that an officer cannot make you come off duty while you are on break, but I called safety and they said that I had to log it on duty and take another 10 hour break even though I had already sat for around 7 hours. Was the other driver wrong, or thinking of something else maybe? I think they can make you come off duty if they want.

I'm going to venture a guess that "because you were parked illegally...." he could. Now, were you to be parked legally in a rest area or any other legal location....I don't think so. I've had them knock years ago, and just refused to even make a sound....so they went away. 8) On the other hand, one night in Texas just south of Rip Griffins there on 59 just south of Ganado, I had a "fireman" beat the hell out of the side of the sleeper and tell me to haul ass..... saw an awful lot of flashing red lights.....first time I ever drove barefoot in my underwear....luckily I got a parking spot in Gamado....

AH,maybe it was overlooked,yes?I no like sapp bros. They have very bad mechanic.
