HOS question?

hi all

i work monday to friday for a total of 55 hours give or take 3 hours.
now my dilemma is i want to work Saturdays for the extra $180 i may bring in for me.

BUT, due to the freight destinations and time it doesnt give me 36 hours for my restart. im in CANADA
i could cheat my logbook but my employer if audited by DOT, my employer will provide my logbooks and receipts to them and clearly i will be fined. for loggin off and then there a receipts for that day that i delivered the freight.

it dont think its fair that after 55 hours in a week i need a restart. causing me to miss out on work on a saturday because i need a 36 hour restart.
and my employer was telling me that if anything they might make it a 48 hour restart WHAT THE HELL!!

this is a good site here and lots of truckers. can anyone start some online petitions. im in.

or is it as simple as find a weekend job doing something else, something i dont agree with.

Im not to familiar with Canadian HOS, but is doesnt look like you have much flexablity with 55hrs worked for the week.

How many hours are you legal to work up there? We dont "have" to take the 34 hour restart down here we can just drop off the previous 8th day and gain whatever hours we dropped off, so why cant you just work (if able) the hours that you are available to work? Someone please correct me if I got this wrong.
